Peacock feathers 2018

In an exhibition on animals and people, Yochi Shrem chose to present the peacock.
The peacock is attached to a magnificent vision, its flamboyant tail serving as a courting tool for the humble gray female.
Yochi wanted to disassemble the peacock from his "weapon," and undress the "dance" of courting where the male and female were equal in appearance.
Will the female be moved by the new look of the male?
The remaining feather skeleton was produced by laser-cut stainless steel that reflects a rough and cold look.
The peacock feathers that had been "dropped" from the peacock's body became crochet of silks, wool, and other soft materials.
Yochi Shrem challenges the relationship and corrects the balance of power between them in an installation that combines industrial work with cold and hard raw materials and handmade work
Gentle in soft and warm materials. The pamphlet boosts interest around the new dance created in the plastic "nature" of the work.
